Greek Freak Alert 2.0
It started with a simple request from Bill Simmons to have updates whenever Giannis Antetokounmpo took the floor, and from there the @GreekFreakAlert was born. Since then Giannis has been turning heads and electrifying the hometown crowd with exciting plays, dunks, more dunks, and even more dunks to pair along with his lovable personality. We have seen him go from occasional role player, to rotation player to starter in one third of a season.
Giannis is now getting regular minutes (32 mpg over the last five games) and there isn’t a need for updates every time he checks into or starts a game. However, we want to continue to provide updates on everyone’s favorite Greek rookie. Going forward the Greek Freak Alert will be used to send out highlights and special announcements regarding Giannis. We hope there are a lot more alerts in the future.
